ISLAMABAD, OCT 15 – Interior Minister Ijaz Ahmad Shah says National Counter Terrorism Authority has played vigorous role in elimination of terrorism.
He expressed these views while chairing the meeting of NACTA board of governors in Islamabad on Thursday.
Administrative and Financial Proposals submitted by National Coordinator NACTA, Mr. Khaliq Dad Lak, were discussed in detail and approved unanimously by all the Members of the Board.
While addressing the Board Members, Federal Minister for Interior expressed his satisfaction over NACTA’s performance and its role against terrorism, specifically emphasizing on the coordinated efforts for Countering Financing for Terrorism in the context of Pakistan’s recent FATF measures. Minister further desired that NACTA should be made a more effective organization and that remaining within the available resources, it should improve and enhance its efforts towards the mandated role.
Senator Hidayat Ullah, Senator Rana Maqbool Ahmad, MNA Mr, Jamil Ahmad Khan and Mr. Khurram Dastgir Khan along with Federal Secretaries of Interior, Defence, Law & Justice and Finance Division, besides DGs Intelligence Bureau, Federal Investigation Agency, Inter Services Intelligence (CT) and DG Military Intelligence, also attended the meeting as Members of NACTA Board of Governors.
