“Mulan” Sees its Cinema Release Once Again Postponed

While Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” was postponed from July 17 to 31, it is the turn of the live-action remake of “Mulan” by Disney to be postponed.

CINEMA – “Tenet”, Kaamelott and now Mulan. The deconfinement may well be now advanced, the weather is still not good for cinemas. While the dark rooms have reopened for a week, attendance is at half-mast in the United States and operators prefer to take their precautions, reports Deadline, this June 27.

While Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” was postponed from July 17 to 31, it is the live-action remake of Mulan by Disney to be once again postponed, from July 22 to August 21; the initial release was scheduled for March 25.

As Allociné points out, “the Covid-19 epidemic has had a strong impact on the film industry and the situation regarding the reopening of theaters in the United States is still too uncertain for Disney to take risks with the release of the film directed by Niki. Caro ”.

Alan Horn and Alan Bergman, the co-chairs of the Walt Disney studios, therefore, do not intend to take the alternative of broadcasting on the Disney + platform. “Even if the pandemic has changed our exit plans for Mulan and we have to remain flexible depending on the conditions, we are still convinced of the power of the film and its message of hope and perseverance”.
